Re: ReNamer does not start on Windows XP (DGAgent fault)

tried colors, the same issue.
DGagent is definitely running in stealth mode, folder is not visible in program files, but when I try to create one with the same name, OS does not allow me to do it.

Re: ReNamer does not start on Windows XP (DGAgent fault)

ReNamer and Colors are compiled using the same development environment (Free Pascal + Lazarus). Try starting Shutter v3.8 - it is compiled with a different development environment, so it might actually start without problems.

You could also try using Autoruns by Sysinternals and attempt to disable any startup entries/libraries which are linked to the mystical DGAgent path.

Re: ReNamer does not start on Windows XP (DGAgent fault)

shutter works!
I ran autoruns after, but that dgagent is really smart, I could not disable entries due to access denied, although I am admin user. Next time I ran autoruns- entries disappeared, must be really stealth mode.
However I managed to fix this, safe mode with command prompt and autoruns did the work and latest renamer v started to run properly.
I had also an idea to boot from cd and kill from there, if no success.

That is great to hear!

P.S. It makes you wounder what kind of other damage such shady security software might do.
