FTP Support

I manage a TON of files via FTP and also have remote media servers. It's a pain to transfer to the computer use Renamer (Which is simply AWESOME btw. It works great) then transfer back. Especially when you have around 20GB of files that need renaming.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who needs a feature like this, but it would be a great one!

BTW. Keep up the great work. I love this program.  ;]

Re: FTP Support

Hi Magus!

I understand your problem, and found a much easier solution for you! Rather then implementing an FTP support in ReNamer, which is a rather complicated business, why not mount an FTP account as a local drive?... I did a bit of research, and I found a little tool that does exactly that!  smile

NetDrive - you can easily mount you FTP account on your system, and access it as your local drive via the windows explorer:

NetDrive is sort of a freeware (Novell has some licensing issue), there is another one which is WebDrive (shareware). I tried them both, they work Perfectly!  So check them out, and tell me how it'll all work for you, ok?

Re: FTP Support

Yes, I understand how complicated it can be as instead of just transferring files with fixed names you will be renaming a mass of files. So I thought to myself, about creating a sort of FTP bridge with ReNamer......BUT I didn't realize that had already been done. That's amazing stuff!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to try this out. Thx! yikes
