I'm trying to rename some symbolic links, but when I drag them into ReNamer, they don't appear in the file list portion of the window. I'm assuming they simply aren't supported at this time. Would support for them be difficult to add if that is actually the problem?

Hello,
Please provide more details:
1) Which version of Windows?
2) Which version ReNamer?
3) What kind of symbolic links? (hard links, soft links, standard shortcuts)
Hard links and soft links (ones created with MKLINK tool or similar) ReNamer handles natively, importing the target path. However, standard shortcuts are imported as *.lnk files.
Have you checked your currently active filter settings?

Windows 7 64bit
I've tried versions 5.60 and 5.76
The links are created with mklink /D path/filename path/filename
The filter settings have options 1 & 3 (add files within folders and include subfolders) checked
If I go to file->Add Files and choose one that way, I get the follow dialog box:

This is an operating system error, not generated by ReNamer.
In your example you create a symbolic link to a file, yet you use /D flag. You shouldn't use /D flag as it implies a symbolic link for a directory, not a file.

Sorry for wasting your time. I was pointed in the direction of using mklink for file symlinks by someone else and didn't take the time to verify what they said. ReNamer worked perfectly with symlinks created using LinkShellExtension.
Thanks again!
