Можно ли добавить EXIF_DateTimeOriginal и EXIF_CreateDate в мета-теги?

Да, это можно добавить, главное только чтобы в этом была польза.

Нашлась вот статья которая описывает разницу между тремя похожими тэгами которые хранят дату в форме EXIF (на английском):

Date Time is when the image file was changed ("Exif for Digital Still Cameras V. 2.2", p. 22).
Date Time Original is the date and time when the image was originally captured (generated, like when you physically press the button and snap the photo with your iPhone or digital camera or maybe film camera) ("Exif for Digital Still Cameras V. 2.2", p. 30).
Date Time Digitized is the date and time when the image file was stored as digital data. If you took a photo with a digital camera or iPhone then it's immediately stored in a digital form, meaning image date time original is the same as image date time digitized ("Exif for Digital Still Cameras V. 2.2", p. 30). So you say, when is this tag useful for me? Maybe if you have printed photos taken with some sort of film camera. At some point you are going to scan them and transfer to your computer, then maybe you would like to record this "moment", this is where you would store the timestamp, the Date Time Digitized tag.

Как описывается в статье, DateTimeDigitized и DateTimeOriginal всегда одинаковые для изображений снятых на цифровые камеры.

В данный момент, при использования тэга EXIF_Date в ReNamer сначала извлекается DateTimeOriginal, и если содержимое пусто то извлекается DateTime.

Это изображение содержит только DateTime тэг (2012:12:12 06:49:01), а оба DateTimeDigitized и DateTimeOriginal пусты.

Используя ExifTool, похоже интересующая вам дата находится в XMP а не в EXIF:

ReNamer пока не поддерживает XMP гэги напрямую, но можно использовать ExifTool в правиле PascalScript.
