Re: Great and not so great...

Hello.

Just want to thank you again for ReNamer - it is an outstanding tool.
However you continue this, please do it in a way that is enjoyable for you.
Not only is this best for yourself, but quite likely also for us users (maybe a tiny grain of selfishness on by behalf there smile)

You can't just take a brake from your job whenever it doesn't give you joy - but you can and should with a hobby.
Hope you will be able to continue as you have planned.

Best regards,
Hawker.

Re: Great and not so great...

Hi denis,

I just liked to add once more thanks!!!!

I'm glad to see the newest beta version. It addresses all my wishes for renamer I had and works like charm!!!

I hope you can find a healtier balance with your life.

If does make you smile I'll let you know that I started to think about finding a balance between programing and life when my wife tryed to use the toilet at 3am and she found me with a lots of drawings on toillet paper. roll

I was there sitting for like an hour drawing and understanding mouse gestures ecuations (X & Y etc). the nice thing is that I still using thouse ecuations dozens of times a day on my script. big_smile

Now I try to steal some spare time at work to do that kind of stuff.

cheers, Yogui.

Re: Great and not so great...

yo  Denis,

I come here really late and I'm not going to say what has been said be others. I've already contact you for improvements on accessibility because i'm blind, using a screen reader and you have always  kindly replied to me and made improvements to help me. as you say, many commercial devs are far from being as responsive and they often don't care out about us, visually impaired and our damn accessibilites problems. I've tried tons of those renaming programs out there and your is the best. Don't let yourself be overloaded. You are kindly distributiong freewares, and you don't have any obligation!

Thank you again for this great tool and particularly for you kindness to help.

Sof

Re: Great and not so great...

Hi Denis, hi all,

well, this is not a very informative post. I've looked for a batch file replace tool for a rather long time, as I need its help more and more. There are many of these tools around, but either they are too specialised, too incomprehensible, or don't work at all. I'm very glad I finally found exactly the right thing in ReNamer, and, moreover, it's free.

I'd like to say that considering Denis' doubts to support the tool any more, and his decision to still continue his work. Thank you!
