Replace entire filename with SHA256 skip extension

I updated to 7.8 today and found Renamer is not renaming the files.  Maybe my rule is wrong, I don't know.
I have one rule:

Find: *
Replace: :Hash_SHA265:
Occurrences: All
Skip Extension Enabled

No other options or rules enabled.
Both the preview and when ran the file names do not change.

I've also tried just leaving Find blank and that hasn't worked either.

Re: Replace entire filename with SHA256 skip extension

I presume that you are using a Replace rule with this configuration?

This will try to replace a literal asterisk character "*" with an SHA256 hash, which is not what you want to achieve.

Instead, you should use an Insert rule, inserting ":Hash_SHA256:" and selecting the "Replace current name" option.

Yes I was.
Using the insert rule as you suggested has worked.
