Feature Request - Change the font to a monospace font

Hello,

it would be great if it would be possible to change the font in the window to a monospace font so you can easily see if all file names have the same length.

Alternatively it would be nice if you could have a column with the filename length.

Best regards from Austria and thank you for your great work.

Hi Oliver.

An option for customizing the font is already on the feature todo list. So it is question of time and priority.

You can right-click on the column header to see the full list of available columns. That is where you can enable "Name Length" and "New Name Length" columns.

Re: Feature Request - Change the font to a monospace font

I would like to +1 this, and there are several older posts with similar sentiments. I understand it may not be the top priority, but it would be very much appreciated. I use Consolas on Windows, but also I know of Inconsolata (open-source if I'm not mistaken) if you want to bake it into the app and make it cross-platform.

I doubt anyone would complain if you changed over to a monospace by default, but if you did want to allow it to be optional, maybe a preference toggle (monospace font on/off) would be the least complicated way? I'm guessing allowing the user to select a font would be significantly more work/complication.

Thanks,
Vernon.

Thank you for your feedback.

It is still on the feature request list, but we'll try to take a look at it over the next few weeks.

It will most likely be implemented as a user choice for the font name, using whatever fonts are available on the system.
