Shutter wont save data in options

I dont know what Im doing wrong, but when I check the boxes I prefer & then click save it pops up a box that says it cant save my data. Has not been working...can you help?

Which OS? The problem could be that you've installed it in Program Files, which is made read-only by Windows due to security reasons.

Same thing happened to me.  I downloaded the beta 2011-11-26 zip file.  I copied the shutter.exe program to a folder but I didn't copy all the other files that came with it (shutter.ini and inactivity.dll) to the same location.  Once I did that, the settings saved OK.
