Remove everything between {..}

I have several files named like this:   AlbumArt_{FFC9E443-BD55-4732-B919-E6A9A148FEB3}_Large.jpg

I wish to rename them to this:   AlbumArtLarge.jpg

There are a variable number of chars between the {}

Thank You

Re: Remove everything between {..}

The new Rearrange rule is tailor-made for such applications. (Available in the beta).

See help here: http://www.den4b.com/wiki/ReNamer:Rules:Rearrange.

Use _ as delimiter. It will chop the name in 3 parts.
Compose the new name with the template: $1$3
(the extension is not affected; and it is automatically added back).

Re: Remove everything between {..}

Here is mine 1st real test for Rearrange rule and I have some problems to rename batch of songs. Here are the examples:

Aleksandra Bursac - 2009 - Padale Su Kise.mp3 --> Aleksandra Bursac 2009 - Padale Su Kise.mp3
Allegro Band - 2009 - 01 - Drugarica.mp3 --> Allegro Band 2009 - Drugarica.mp3
Bane Opacic Feat. Lexington Band - 2009 - 02 - Da Me Malo Hoce (Voz Snova).mp3 -->
Bane Opacic Feat. Lexington Band 2009 - Da Me Malo Hoce (Voz Snova).mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic - 2009 - 09 - Ko Da Zenu Nikad Nisam Video.mp3 --> Dzenan Loncarevic 2009 - Ko Da Zenu Nikad Nisam Video.mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic - 2009 - 10 - Laura (Bonus).mp3 --> Dzenan Loncarevic 2009 - Laura (Bonus).mp3

So as you can see I want to remove No of song and dashes where they exist, so pattern is:
Artist Name Year - Title Of Song.mp3
Maybe it's not possible with one rule/session but I would like to know the best solution. Thanks in advance wink

@all
1. please open an new threat for every not related question
2. please provide your examples like:

From:
Aleksandra Bursac - 2009 - Padale Su Kise.mp3
Allegro Band - 2009 - 01 - Drugarica.mp3
Bane Opacic Feat. Lexington Band - 2009 - 02 - Da Me Malo Hoce (Voz Snova).mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic - 2009 - 09 - Ko Da Zenu Nikad Nisam Video.mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic - 2009 - 10 - Laura (Bonus).mp3

To:
Aleksandra Bursac 2009 - Padale Su Kise.mp3
Allegro Band 2009 - Drugarica.mp3
Bane Opacic Feat. Lexington Band 2009 - Da Me Malo Hoce (Voz Snova).mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic 2009 - Ko Da Zenu Nikad Nisam Video.mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic 2009 - Laura (Bonus).mp3

That way it's much more easy to spot what you want, and more easy to copy the old names for to test with them.

Hi eR@SeR

I think this is no issue for new rearrange rule
because that's to tricky to find out an way how to check if your file name contain two or three dashes.
Or i am to silly for that.

Try instead an easy way:

1.) Remove  dash blank twoDigits blank
Add Rule RegEx:
Find expression: "- \d\d "
Replace with: ""

2.) Remove first blank dash
Add Rule Remove:
Remove: " -"
(o) First

Result:
From:
Aleksandra Bursac - 2009 - Padale Su Kise.mp3
Allegro Band - 2009 - 01 - Drugarica.mp3
Bane Opacic Feat. Lexington Band - 2009 - 02 - Da Me Malo Hoce (Voz Snova).mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic - 2009 - 09 - Ko Da Zenu Nikad Nisam Video.mp3
Dzenan Loncarevic - 2009 - 10 - Laura (Bonus).mp3

To:
Aleksandra Bursac 2009 - Padale Su Kise.mp3

I tried with it but without any success anyway doesn't matter, the most important thing is to rename those songs the way is more or less irrelevant wink
And thanks Stefan, by some miracle you did the trick cool Cheers wink

All questions to Help and Support are about some Special Rename (a very poor title for a topic BTW).
Going with that logic we could have just one topic in Help and Support with the title "How to rename x to y". But then noone would be able to find what's related to what and what's the answer.
One problem - one topic and we all will feel better, pal  wink

Regular Expressions are not as hard to understand as you may think. Check ReNamer's manual or nice Regular Expressions tutorial for more info and start to use full power of applications that use them (like ReNamer, Mp3Tag and so on).

I understand you guys but mine problem was urgent and I found this Special Rename thread.
Something like you proposed ("How to rename x to y") would be nice. That could be thread where users can open their topics related to some renaming puzzles.
Maybe in future forum could suffer some changes but till then we have to use it as it is smile
P.S. Stefan, check your words (spelling) before you post. I understand you completly but just to let you know: an, threat tongue

eR@SeR, you haven't been reading carefully. It would be a disaster. A complete disaster. That would be a topic I would never open.
It would be like mixing all possible types of flour and then trying to seperate the wheat flour from that powder...
