See Network drives

Hi everyone,
Is there a way to get ReNamer to see the Network Drives instead of local drives only.

Thanks neutral

Yes of course.
Just map your network drive with command line tool "Net Use"

C:\>net use X:  \\ComputerName\ShareName Password /user:DomainName\UserName

See: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr … 90717.aspx

------

A share can also be connected to using explorer:

   1. Start Windows Explorer
   2. From Tools menu, select Map Network Drive
   3. Select a drive letter, and either enter the share path or browse the network and select
   4. Click OK

------
There is also an graphical tool to do this:
XSubst   ==> http://www.gateway-to-hell.com/

Re: See Network drives

Hi Stefan,
Under VISTA , the network drives are available under Network Folder, I don't have to map the network drives.

However, Renamer does not seem to see the Network Folder. Under XP It does see the mapped drive though.

Do you have any idea ?

Re: See Network drives

In ReNamer the dialog for selecting folders is custom made, not the one supplied by Windows. Network Folder is a special type of structure which is not yet supported by the custom dialog in ReNamer.

You can still add network files/folders via Drag & Drop and Copy & Paste from Windows Explorer.
