Strip rule behavior is unpredictable

I have set the strip rule to eliminate the non-English characters.

In other words, I have selected-
1. All English characters
2. All digits
3. User-selected symbols: -'_
4. Skip all characters except selected (ticked)

And then tried on file names that have dots between words.
But this rule fails when there are "and" and "to" in the name.
* The space before "and" is removed (it merges with the previous word)
* The spaces on both sides of "to" are removed. (It merges with words on both sides of it).

This happens regardless of where the "and" and "to" words occur in the name.

What could be wrong?

Re: Strip rule behavior is unpredictable

I don't know if you added the space on the user-selected symbols, I supose so.

Anyways I tried different combinations and I couldn't reproduce it. Could you give a more concrete example?
