Recommended "Inactivity" Event for CPU and Network traffic?

I would like to define Inactivity as follows:

- No mouse movement or key press
- No (heavy) computations
- No (heavy) network downloads running

Ok, the first event is easy to define.

For the second I defined "Below 5% for 10 seconds (Average).
Assume 3 of my 4 cpu cores show 0,1% and 1 cpu core 7%:
Will this state trigger the event or not?

But what should I use for Network usage?

Occasionally I download some huge torrent files which could last for hours.
In this case the depending Action should not be performed.

On the other hand there is always some small network traffic (check for Win updates, check for timesync, check for new emails,....)
What threshold is recommended to ignore these low level activities but block Action when (torrent) download is running?

You will just have to experiment to establish the perfect trigger conditions that work for you and your system.

That means monitoring and/or recording resource usage of your system in the idle state.

You could use built-in or 3rd party tools, or even Shutter itself by keeping an eye on the Status column while you have all 3 events running.

Some torrent/download clients have a built-in option to automatically shutdown the system once the download has finished.
