Yeah wink  I'm actually working on it now! But having troubles with HWND_NOTOPMOST not working sometimes...

I'm still fighting with drag&drop - just file names, but getting a solution that will resolve 'not real files - but namespace exensions' is starting to annoy me

What is it you are trying to do?

smile I'm not trying to do anything really odd, but if i want to handle name space extensions etc then I have to write the code that resolves it correctly eg it may point to a file, external drive, a windows implemented extension that might show part of an Outlook data store
Does that make sense?

What I'd like is a 'does it for me' component - the trouble is, I havn't found one that comes in budget

Re: 4.10 ACCESS VIOLATION

Here is with SetWindowPos implementation of "Always on top" option: ReNamerBeta.zip.
It works without any disappearance/flickering, like with your PowerMenu! This bug is finally fixed smile

COOOOL idea!! I always wanted to write a parser for iTunesDB file (of an iPod) with the Namespace Extension for Windows Explorer that will allow browsing iPod like a folder, copying and pasting audio files on the fly. There is software that already does it, but it is a bit dodgy and they made a mess out of it, and it's not freeware! It's a huuuuuge task, so if I make it one day, I would probably sell it and will make loads of money on it big_smile

EDIT: Here is explained and with source code for Delphi: Namespace Extension

Re: 4.10 ACCESS VIOLATION

I think there is no need to open new topic for access violations...so here it is smile

I don't know how to display that image from mine HD (is it actually possible, in future cases - thanks in advance) so I'll write:

Access violation at address 0051730C in module 'ReNamer.exe'. Read of address 00000010.

Steps done: added some files without any rule, then I opened "Export: Import file paths and new names", and that error message displays. Reproduced?

accessviolationid8.th.jpg

Here is that image. Yes, I forgot to say that you have to close "Open" dialog at the end of course tongue. If you already did it, then I really don't know how you didn't reproduce that error. Perhaps you should download and use version 5.25 (maybe you wrong in typing and wrote 2.25 smile). Otherwise let's see Deniss reaction roll

Re: 4.10 ACCESS VIOLATION

I was able to reproduce it in the latest version, and fixed the problem.

Try from here: ReNamerBeta.zip

P.S. For the future reference, you should've posted it in a new topic because these two access violations were not related.

Re: 4.10 ACCESS VIOLATION

Ok, I'll do like you said in future references big_smile. Mine opinion, in general, is to post questions in similar topics but in this case I think I wrong because of 4.10. Sorry roll

Great, it works fine now big_smile
