How to create a filename based on the picture shooting date time

Hello,
I have in a folder a lot of camera picture realized with 3 different type of camera (.jpg files).  So file name prefix are differents.  I would like rename these file by considering shooting date time stored into the picture itself (Exif data,  I have the possibility to make this type of sorting into PaintShop - pro, but only for internal use ).
Is it possible to do that with Renamer?  If yes could explain how to do it?

Many Thanks

André

Yes tongue

André> I would like rename these file ... date time ... Exif data,
You can take your original file name and prefix them with meta data, or put this to the end, or in the
middle, or.... you can even delete the whole current file name, what do you want?

If you want to exchange the file name completely  by meta data...
1.) ADD RULE DELETE, set it to  "from Pos. 1"  and  "till the end", skip extension (to remove the whole name)
2.) ADD RULE INSERT,  press "Insert Meta Tag", chose your desired data (to make this your new name)
3.) press PREVIEW (to see if this fits your needs)
Note: you can format the meta tag by using menu "Settings > Meta Tags"

HTH?
