Artist/title name in file properties

Hello!

I´ve been searching the forum, and doing some trial and error on my own - but still haven´t found out how to do this...maybe it´s just too basic?
(I´m a complete newbie).

I want to insert an artist and title name in the file properties of a number of .mp3 files - how do I do this?
Been trying the id3 artist tag, etc. - but that only seems to work the other way...ala file properties info -> file name...

Sorry ,ReNamer rename file names, not the content inside the files.

Do you (or anyone else) know of a program that can do this task of changing the information inside the files (file properties)?

I didn't know which suit your needs.
Download a few and test your self.
For me  power fullest is MP3BookHelper. (becasue of RegEx features)
Or an smaller, more easy to handle is Media Tagger v1.3.8 b1_(2.6.2005)
Others use mp3Tag  or JJ MP3 Renamer
