Problem with folder insertion

I found out that if you have a folder with images numbered 1-10, then if you are in the folder and select all then drag into ReNamer, it all shows up in order from 1 to 10. If you copy in the folder though, it brings in the files 1, 10, 2, 3, etc...

What is the cause of that and is it possible to fix? Thanks!

What do you mean with "copy the folder"?
Where do you see those "1, 10, 2, 3, etc..." ? In WinExplorer?

Re: Problem with folder insertion

The copy&paste and drag&drop order of files is determined entirely by Windows. Simple things like "where did you start the selection" will determine the order of files for copy&paste and drag&drop operations. Play around with it, and I'm sure you'll find out a way in which you'll get your order to be transferred to ReNamer correctly.

If that doesn't work, then simply use "Natural Sort" option from the settings, and sort the column. wink

Re: Problem with folder insertion

Now I see it! smile I think the version I have at work is too old or something because--

I just checked. At work I have version 4.50 and that option does not exist. Well I'll upgrade ReNamer there. At least, at home I have the newest version.

Hmm... Maybe! I'm a little scared of betas now. What's in it that's worth looking at?

You also may read the last topics in the Support and Suggestion forum to see where this new features came from.

For your question above it's enough to load the last stable 5.10, though the beta is stable too.
