File appears suggestion

Hello Denis,
one option I really miss in your great program is watching for file presense. I often leave my PC overnight to complete downloads and I'd like my machine to turn off after specified file (files?) appear in specified directories. What do you think?

Re: File appears suggestion

Hi bromden,

Thats a good idea! I'm thinking now of 2 options for a new Event:
1) Triger when specified file/files appear;
2) Triger when specified file reaches specified filesize.

Which one will be more use for you?
I'll implement it once I have some free time, might take a week or so..

smile:)

To me first option is more useful because I always know filename and I use "temporary folders" (ie. I use one folder for files in progress and another for completed DLs). But that's just my opinion smile

Thank's again! Waiting for the update.

Re: File appears suggestion

Good news smile

Your suggestion has been implemented, i.e. trigger when specified file appears AND trigger when specified file reaches specified filesize! It has been added as a new event called File Size Limit. It works as both, when file appears and when specified file reaches specified filesize. For the first one, simply use 0 (zero) as the maximum filesize, because for none existing file the filesize is -1, and once the file is created, it's size will be detected as 0 bytes, thus triggering the event big_smile

Try it from here: ShutterBeta.zip
