Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V

I saw this on the window of Analyze Name / Analize sample text

I can use Ctrl + X and Ctrl + C, but I can't paste using Ctrl + V

I noticed this on the beta, in the official goes well

Re: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V

This was a bit of a painful problem... It goes back to the shortcuts contradiction.

Ctrl+Z,X,C,V are standard shortcuts for manipulating with clipboard, but they are also used for custom manipulations with files within ReNamer, which caused some conflicts. There is more to it, but I don't think there is a need to explain more.

I have decided to make a bullet-proof modification - change those shortcuts within ReNamer to Shift+Ctrl+Z,X,C,V. It is not the nicest thing, but at the moment this is the only 100% working method.

Re: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V

Well I cannot help but I can give some ideas

What about, when you press "Alt+O" the options menu is opened, and after that just pressing S, V, F, H, A or C, the option is loaded

I don't know, may be you (Denis) can solve it without doing this.

Re: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V

The latest dev version should have it fixed.

Please, do more testing: with/without analyze dialog, with/without manually editing new names, copying & pasting everywhere, etc...

Re: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V

Copy some text, paste it into Analyze dialog, right click on it, do Undo, "Text after applying rules" space isn't updated within "Enter text that you wish to analyze".

That is case only when you use context menu; shortcuts apply it instantly (off course both options are checked below). Reproduced?

Edit: Now everybody knows where you from Denis big_smile. No more obscurity tongue
I though that you live in Russia, until you told me once via mail that you live in Ireland lol
