Default rules preset is not saved in Windows 7

I'm not sure this is posted here before, but..
It doesn't load rules on relaunch, even after I set it to do so in settings.

Any help?
Thanks

P.S I can't live without renamer, I will die

Re: Default rules preset is not saved in Windows 7

Check for existence of "ReNamer\Presets\[default].rnp" file. This is where default rules are saved.

ReNamer might not have permission to create that file in Windows 7. If you installed ReNamer in Program Files, then User Account Control (UAC) is probably blocking write-access for ReNamer.

Re: Default rules preset is not saved in Windows 7

Thanks for the reply den4b
I just read (The not easy story of the development, and the new way of things!)
So sad to know that
I have 2 questions...
Which language did you use to make your tools?
The other questions is, why don't you make them open source for others to go on developing them?

Thanks again

Re: Default rules preset is not saved in Windows 7

I use mostly Delphi for developing such tools.

Open Source projects require a lot (really a lot) of organization and maintenance. Converting and maintaining every one of these tools as Open Source will be a nightmare! Especially when I have few more tools coming out soon.
