Using EXIF MetaData in Filename

I'm considering installing your renaming tool as I've just seen it recommended on the PC Pro Magazine CD.  I have a couple of quick questions.

Will it work with Windows 7?
Can I rename files on a network drive, or do they need to be on the local HDD?
Can I use the [Date Taken] from the EXIF data and include this in the Filename, in the format yyyyMMdd?  Reason being is that I like to include in the filename, the date a photo was taken. Then when I send it to Bonusprint to be printed they print the filename on the back and I can see the date.

It looks like a great tool, so I'm hoping it'll be able to do what I need it to do.  Thanks.

(ReNamer can rename Windows network (neighbourhood) files also.)

Can I use the [Date Taken] from the EXIF data and include this in the Filename, in the format yyyyMMdd?

Yes. Almost everything is possible with ReNamer. More about included Meta tags look here. List of variables that can be used in Date format are here. If you cannot set rule, ask without hesitation. Someone of us will help you. Cheers wink
