Just curious. I have a set of 100 mp3 files that I wanted to play randomly on an mp3 player.
I was able to change all filenames -- adding a three-digit, zero-padded, random number prefix.
Unfortunately, the mp3 player uses the title in the metatag to decide which order to play the files in.
So, actual file name doesn't do it.
Can ReNamer change the metatags??
I know that metatags can be pulled and used in filenames. But how about the ability to go in the other direction?
Thanks,
Nicholas Kormanik

Hi Nicholas,
ReNamer is not designed for editing MP3 tags or changing the content of files in general.
You will need to use a tool that is designed specifically for that, like Mp3tag.
If you find a 3rd party command line tool which can alter MP3 files in a way you want, you could integrate it into ReNamer via PascalScript rule.

Good lead, Mp3tag.
ReNamer is outstanding at what it does. Thanks!
