Settings and menus
This article covers the main menu commands and the application settings not already described elsewhere.
Main menu
File menu
- Save passwords (
Ctrl+S) — Save the generated passwords to a file. - Settings — Open the application settings.
- Close (
Alt+F4) — Exit the application.
Actions menu
- Generate passwords (
F5) — Generate a new set of passwords. - Check uniqueness — Check the generated passwords for duplicates. The comparison is case-sensitive, and empty lines are ignored.
- Convert to upper case (
Ctrl+U) — Convert the generated passwords to upper case. - Convert to lower case (
Ctrl+L) — Convert the generated passwords to lower case. - Convert to random case (
Ctrl+R) — Convert the generated passwords to random upper and lower case per character.
Settings dialog
- Remember location of the main window — Remember the size and location of the main window between sessions.
- Use non-cryptographic random generator — Use a faster, deterministic pseudo-random generator instead of a cryptographicaly secure random generator provided by the operating system.
- Warning: Passwords generated with this option enabled are not suitable for security-sensitive use.
