Command line

Shutter supports several commands and command line parameters.

The examples do not include the full path to Shutter.exe, as it can differ between installations.

Commands

Load preset

"Shutter.exe" /preset <preset>

Load a preset specified by a preset name or a full path, and start the events monitoring.

You can use the Create Links to Presets option from the main menu to create shortcut files to all available presets.

Execute quick action

"Shutter.exe" /action <action>

Execute a quick action identified by its ID.

A quick action is an action that can be executed directly without any configuration. This is different from the list of general actions available in Shutter's workflow and presets.

You can use the Create Links to Actions option from the main menu to create shortcut files to all supported quick actions. The full list of quick actions is also available in the tray icon menu.

Uninstall

"Shutter.exe" /uninstall

Remove all manually enabled associations with the program, e.g. presets association.

This option is intended for advanced users.
